Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Quality Assurance Lead to support the varied and exciting projects / programmes within TPR’s portfolio. The current portfolio includes an interesting suite of projects and programmes including: legislative projects, a new people and culture programme as well as improvements to our existing IT estate.

This is an exciting time to be joining TPR with the establishment of the new Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department. Part of the role will be understanding how the Change Directorate will provide assurance for the new DDaT function, specifically digital delivery.

**Job description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- *Driving quality of project delivery by ensuring adherence to the project / programme governance framework
- *Overseeing the gate process as projects / programmes move through the project / programme lifecycle
- *Ensuring quality control by facilitating project / programme health checks and readiness reviews
- *Overseeing the monthly Quality Assurance review process and escalating deviance from the controls as necessary
- *Constantly reviewing and improving the overarching project / programme governance based on feedback from key stakeholders
- *Producing relevant management information relating to the project / programme assurance process

**Responsibilities**:
Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential
- *Knowledge of managing projects / programmes to the defined project / programme lifecycle
- *Experience of developing and the adoption of project / programme governance frameworks
- *Knowledge of project / programme delivery good practice
- *Experience of digital delivery and / or assurance of the Government Digital Service standards
- *Experience of managing stakeholders and the ability to speak with conviction and authority about project / programme delivery
- *Building relationships and influencing key members of project / programme teams including sponsor and Director level
- *Experience of project / programme reporting
- *Knowledge of business case production and adherence to the HM Treasury guidelines
- *The ability to produce concise and accurate management information

Desirable
- *Desirable - Experience of working in TPR across multiple Departments or Directorates
- *Desirable - Background and qualification in project / programme management e.g. PRINCE2, Agile etc. and PMO Management
- *Desirable - Awareness of the government project delivery functional standards
