**About the role**
As an Associate Engineer - Civil & Structural, you are required to have an enviable track record in
**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Time, cost, quality and resource and delivery management including communication with the
department and management to ensure that resource, project and customer requirements are
clearly understood and met.
- Contribute to the production of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work, change control preparation.
- Monitoring of project fee spend and commercial objectives, including CVR management.
- Manage Cost of Further Works and resource plans.
- Provide feedback on the performance of the department from a technical and operational
perspective.
- Design and technical reviews, including peer group audit functions of the designs of other team members for ‘Perfect Delivery’.
- Provide technical support and guidance to help develop, retain and engage members of the C&S team, supporting BakerHicks’ commitments to diversity and staff development.
- Act as an interface to clients on key projects ensuring a responsive customer-focused service
- Ensure team compliance with company quality management and best practice
- Management of project quality, technical assurance and delivery.
- Review the production of calculations, drawings, specifications and reports, site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison, liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and any other relevant duty required to comply with the project brief.
**Knowledge & Experience**
Essential
- Chartered Member of ICE and/or IStructE.
- Demonstrable track record of technical leadership and of delivering multi-disciplinary projects in at least one sector that BakerHicks operates in.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to eloquently present complex ideas.
- Strong ability to develop enduring relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that deliver long term benefits.
Desirable
- Extensive experience of delivering multi-disciplinary projects in several sectors that BakerHicks operates in.
- Considerable experience in mentoring, developing and upskilling.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
- Ability to develop, deploy and implement strategic vision.
