D1 Minibus Drivers Required

Shannon Rail are looking to register D1 drivers for predominantly weekend work. We supply Welfare units to Railway sites as and when track work/maintenance is being carried out. The role of the D1 driver will be to transport the work gangs/ crew to the area they will be working in. You will collect them from the site access (this is where our welfare units will be, toilet blocks, kitchenette etc) and drop them where they need to be on track. There will be multiple journeys back and fore to ensure all staff are where they need to be when they take possession of the track.
The shifts are weekends only so as an example there could be a Friday night/Saturday night shift then Saturday day / Sunday may have a morning, mid and night shift.. The shifts can vary between 8 and 12 hours, this depends on how long the crew have possession of the track.
The length of the campaigns vary, could be weeks, months, years it depends on the extent of the work being carried out. - it’s entirely up to you when you work, we’ll just call and ask for your availability for each weekend. Please note this is not a full time role and would suit someone looking for additional work at weekends. This request is for the Anglia region, your starting point may not necessarily be Colchester, generally it will be within 1 hour radius of your address.
