We are recruiting in the Chester and surrounding areas. You will be caring for a child in your own home with occassional foster carer training taking place at our Chester office.

We're Foster Care Matters, a not-for-profit fostering charity, seeking caring individuals like you to join our family feel agency. Right now in your neighborhood, a child is in need of a supportive and nurturing foster family - could that be you?

Fostering is not just a job, it's a journey of love, learning, and lasting impact. Caring for a child involves providing support when they are unable to reside with their biological family, whether it's for a short period like a week, a month, or sometimes years.

Don't worry about the 'how-tos', we've got your back. No specific qualifications or training? We're here to provide you with all the guidance you need.

**You can foster if you**:

- are over 21yrs of age - there is no upper age limit to become a foster parent
- have at least one spare bedroom for a foster child.
- are single, a couple, male, female, married or living with a partner.
- are already a parent or have never parented - having some experience of caring for a child would be useful.
- are straight or LGBTQ+
- any ethnicity, culture or religion
- have a disability or physical illness, as long as you can meet the day to day needs of a child.
- are working, unemployed, work part time, homemaker or retired.
- are renting or own your home
- you don't drive but have good access to public transport
- have pets or not.
- smoke or vape however, you couldn't care for children under 5yrs of age.
- have the passion and desire to help a child really matter.

We're here to walk this journey with you, offering training right from the get-go, equipping you with the know-how to love and care for a vulnerable child. As you nurture those essential skills, we'll be right there, supporting you every step of the way.

We provide a generous fostering allowance, top-notch training, and exceptional support. Additionally, we offer extra payments to assist our foster parents in celebrating special occasions like birthdays, summer holidays, and for Christmas/Festivals.
