**About Us**

The PlayTown is a successful role play centre for young children. Our dedicated role play centre features 12 areas specifically designed for young children; with a variety of play equipment, toys and costumes to support every child’s role play adventure. Open 7 days a week, our leisure facilities provide a fun and educational play environment.

**The role**

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to take the role of full-time Assistant Supervisor and supervise shifts at The PlayTown for 30-40 hours a week. The role will include working weekends on a rota basis and due to the nature of the business will also include working bank holidays and during school holidays.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Opening and closing.
- Supervising the team when the Manager and Supervisor are absent.
- Dealing with customer enquiries face to face and by telephone.
- Stock management and ordering.
- Training of new team members.
- Taking food & drinks orders / making and serving hot drinks.
- Ensuring all food preparation meets Health & Safety standards.
- Overseeing play. Ensuring all rules are adhered to.
- Preparing for and overseeing birthday parties.
- Tidying and cleaning duties.
- Carrying out Health & Safety inspections.

**Skills & experience required**:

- Previous supervision experience within leisure/retail/hospitality is ideal.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Enthusiastic about working in a child centred environment.
- Works well under pressure.
- Displays ability to use own initiative.
- Responsible and reliable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
