**The services**:
Sense Scotland Supported Living: Lanarkshire, West Lothian and surrounding areas registered service currently provides support to 9 adults and 7 children across Lanarkshire who have learning disabilities, physical difficulties and communication support needs. Since 1995 Sense has supported individuals in Lanarkshire and currently provide support services to people who live in Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Airdrie and Coatbridge, Wishaw, Shotts and Motherwell**.**
**A**bout the role**:
We are looking for experienced support practitioners to join our established housing support service at Coatbridge on weekends only.
You will supporting people on a 1;1 and 2;1 support based on individual outcomes and agreed support plans.
Some of the people we support have complex health support needs including diabetes which they need support to manage. along with a diagnosis of autism and a visual/hearing impairment or deaf blindness and routine/consistence in their support is essential along with having access to range of communication aids such as visual rotas, day planners and objects of reference.
A typical day can include supporting someone with their personal care routines, support them to manage their medication, communication and dietary needs as well as supporting them to go shopping, attend music and art classes, met up with friends, build confidence and self esteem. Within this service the people we support enjoy a range of activities including swimming, digital art, recycling & shopping.
