**Senior Tester Job Spec**

**Tech Essentials (must haves)**:

- A lot of experience with UI manual testing
- Experience with API manual testing
- Postman experience
- Strong ability to represent test in all product/tech meetings
- Very experienced in agile

**Tech Desirables (must have at least 1)**:

- Performance testing experience
- Contract testing experience
- Security testing experience
- Experience writing different types of automation tests: unit/integration/smoke etc

**Non-Tech Essentials (must haves)**:

- Experience with testing pyramid

**Responsibilities skills**:

- Identifying processes within the team that have gaps for improvement
- Linking in with other teams on testing
- Reporting back on test process progress within team and impact
- Making sure to follow best practices for testing
- Documenting in the test team space
- Collaborating with myself & product team testing processes to help move teams forward together
- Attending product team ceremonies & tech discussion, inputting from the test discipline
- Attending test team meetings & providing feedback & updates on progress in teams/test strategies
- Helping test tickets as required

**Team Integration**:

- Works closely with the product teams within area
- Mentor the test team to help up skill juniors
- Helps bake in testability to tickets
- Works with testers within product teams
- Represents test discipline in scrum & tech meetings
- Works with test lead on strategies

**Day to day**:

- Testing of tickets
- Regression testing when it is requested
- Being present & participating in scrum meetings
- Reviewing test processes with test lead & tech lead of team
- Working with Developers and Product Owners, help upskill their testing knowledge
