**About us**:
The **UCL Cancer Institute** brings together over 300 scientists and collaborates closely with **UCLH**, the **Royal Free Hospital**, and partners in the **Cancer Research UK City of London Centre**. It supports both **basic and translational cancer research**.

UCL is part of the **Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC)** network, enabling early-phase clinical trials of new cancer therapies. The Institute also hosts the **NIHR Clinical Research Facility**, focused on first-in-human trials, and works with the **CRUK/UCL Clinical Trials Centre** to strengthen clinical research.

**About the role**:
Are you a Haematology specialist trainee (ST3-ST5) with a passion for research and a desire to pursue a PhD? Join our world-leading Cancer Institute at UCL and contribute to cutting-edge research into B-cell malignancies and the impact of aging on disease progression.

This exciting Clinical Training Fellow post is a joint appointment within the Myeloma and Signalling & Tumour Microenvironment groups. You will work on a multidisciplinary project exploring the pathogenesis of B-cell cancers, integrating clinical data, molecular analyses, and age-standardized mouse models.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct original research and contribute to publications
- Undertake a PhD focused on aging and B-cell malignancies
- Collaborate with leading scientists and clinicians
- Option to attend one myeloma clinic per week
- Participate in departmental activities and conferences

**About you**:
**Who we are looking for**:

- Medically qualified doctor (MBBS or equivalent)
- GMC registered and Royal College membership
- Strong foundation in cancer biology and immunology
- Lab experience and excellent communication skills

**Desirable extras**:

- Experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, DNA/RNA extraction
- Familiarity with GraphPad Prism and Microsoft Office
