Five Education is supporting a Primary school in North Bristol and we are looking for an SEN facilitator(TA) on a supply basis This Primary school has a wonderful inclusion policy that adapts the curriculum for each SEN child to accomadate their strengths,which is where you come in. As a facilitator, you will be assisting your student(s) with their classwork, their ability to build and maintain good relationships with others, and using positive re-inforcement to encourage and guiding them to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities and duties:
Supporting 1:1 in class
Assist in compartmentalising students' lessons into manageable and productive segments
Help the pupils to access the curriculum and possibly tailor the lesson of the activity to their level of ability and strengths
Make learning fun and enjoyable
Provide support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
Essential Criteria:
Enthusiastic about working with young people and SEN, previous experience is preferred but not necessary
2-years worth of references
A relevant DBS check
Able to work between the hours of 8:30 and 15:30 and a minimum of 2 days per week
Access to a bicycle, bus, or car

Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks,and TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
