**This is the job** As Senior Strategy Manager you will work with the Strategy Director to identify and unlock opportunities for the AA focussing on resolving critical commercial and operational challenges as well as the longer-term strategic planning for the organisation.You will collaborate with the General Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team in strategic decision making, ensuring cross functional strategic alignment.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Lead projects to develop winning strategies for the AA by collaborating with stakeholders across the business
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the GEC and SLT (all business areas and functions) to support strategy development
- Identify and lead strategic research & analysis and problem solving of key business challenges & opportunities to support corporate decision-making
- Develop recommendations, solutions & action plans for commercial and operational opportunities based on strategic analysis to support the AA’s overarching strategy
- Develop business cases to support analyses and enable data-driven decision making, working alongside the relevant Finance and business teams
- Distil data and insight into clear and compelling written presentations and strategic papers
- Present recommendations and findings to stakeholders, e.g. GEC / SLT
- Partner with Internal and External Comms to communicate strategic narrative across the business and to external stakeholders
- In collaboration with GEC and the Transformation Management Office (TMO), support the business to create multi-year strategies and OKRs to consistently monitor business performance, proactively identify issues and risks and implement the required corrective/mitigatingplans
- Task management of Strategy Analysts
- Deputise for the Strategy Director as required

**What do I need?** Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience developing strategy, gained from a strategy consulting house, with experience in consumer sector (particularly B2C services, e.g. General Insurance) desirable
- Experienced in investigating, developing and appraising solutions to commercial opportunities with a high attention to detail
- Excellent research, analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to approach problem solving creatively using a broad range of information sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing compelling presentations and presenting these to senior stakeholders
- Strong ability to work at senior levels of the organisation to solve complex problems
- Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with proven ability to work independently

Education and Qualifications:

- Graduate Calibre (or equivalent of experience), Master’s level degree desirable but not essential
