Police Staff Trainer

Service Care Solutions are looking for a Police Staff Trainer on a 12-month contract within the North Yorkshire Police Force.
**Location**: Northallerton
**Job Role**:
- Assist in the curriculum design and development of training solutions adhering to National guidelines where appropriate.
- Design, develop and deploy training including reviewing different ways of delivering a session. Responsible for identifying the types of activities to use in a session, deciding on the appropriate use of individual and group activities.
- Review the potential for using technology-based learning and eLearning methods as part of the session.
- Deliver agreed training solutions in line with policy, legislation, and the strategic direction of the Force.
- Prepare case papers where required for Professional Standards or Police Regulation hearings.
- Perform the role of internal verifier to ensure that workplace assessments of individuals' competence and performance meet relevant quality standards both locally and nationally, providing feedback and support to assist their development.
- To liaise with Student Constables, Student Development Officers (SDOs), Professional Development Unit (PDU) Supervision and shift supervision as necessary providing feedback and support on student performance and development.
- Monitor end of course feedback questionnaires and other relevant evaluation/s, identifying problems and concerns, and implementing any changes to ensure best practice for the benefit of future delegates.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation, Force Policy, and training techniques.
**Work Experience**:
- An appropriate training qualification, a minimum of Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent) and must be prepared to work towards a Level 4 Qualification Experience of designing, developing, and delivering learning and development sessions.
- The ability to plan and organise work effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of encouraging others to learn and develop to maximise potential.
- An understanding of Adult Learning and related pedagogy.
**Skills**:
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the Police Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) especially relating to Police Officer Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)training and Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Apprenticeship requirements.
- Experience of Coaching individuals or Teams to achieve specific goals both individual and team related.
- Formal Assessor qualification - A1 assessor or equivalent Experience of designing and using technology based / eLearning materials and systems.
- Hold qualifications or knowledge around internal quality assurance processes.
