**Position**: Transport Coordinator
- **Location**:Hitchin, Herts
- **Position**:Fixed term Contract until end of September (Approx. 8 Months)
- Full - Time, 37 Hours per week, Monday - Friday

**Job Overview**:
The Transport Coordinator will work as part of a team that attend to all UK and EU transport requirements and will arrange the most cost-effective solution via the use of 3rd Party Carriers or forwarders.

The role holder will deal with multiple demands and constraints and will work with a range of hauliers & freight forwarders to provide the optimum solution to transport requirements as and when they arise. They will need to be able to work in a fast paced,demanding environment - maintaining a calm and accurate approach throughout.

**Accountabilities**
- Accountability for the daily transaction of transport in the UK, EU, and ROW
- Organising collections from our clients UK sites and Poland and deliver to customers via the use of 3rd Party Carriers and Freight Forwarders
- Engaging with carriers, customer service, and other key stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made as per customer request
- Working with Customer Services and Export Dept to ensure documentation accompany loads into EU (thus satisfying Brexit EU requirements)
- Carrier weekly reconciliation for invoicing
- Identifies opportunities for cost saving
- Identifies opportunities for improved service/ reduced cost
- On the spot problem solving, and identifies gaps to stop future issues
- Working in a team environment and working in a safe manner
- Operation of our clients systems and software
- Processing and distributing data accurately for operations to undertake
- Representing our client in a professional manner to customers
- Must be flexible to change
- Achievement of our clients OTIF service levels and CPT targets
- Adherence to all health and safety policies.
