**UX/UI Director**

**Basic**:£80,000 - £100,000 + benefits + 20% bonus

**Doing**: Lead the UX/UI design across the group

**Location**: Hybrid (some travel to London office + Travel expected monthly in Europe, South America, North America)

Our client are a leading SaaS / IoT company with turnover of more than £50m and 400 members of staff globally recognised as a market leader for their industry. They are also part of a larger £20B group and following phenomenal investment are ramping up theUK operations significantly.

This role will lead UX/UI design across the group, working with internal and external UX/UI resources (some in place, some yet to be appointed). This role reports directly to the CMO and is a strategic-level appointment, but with pragmatic, hands-on deliveryrequired from Day 1. We are rebuilding its UX/UI strategy, activity plan and resources - this role will sit at the centre of that rebuild.

**Responsibilities: UX/UI Director**
- Design, build and deliver the UX/UI strategy and deployment plan (roadmap) globally
- Lead the UX/UI design across the organisation. Own the end-to-end process: Design, Develop + Deploy
- Build a clear 'Centre of Excellence for UX/UI in the London HQ
- Build a clear set of insights and understanding of customer needs (UX/UI, digital experience) to inform decision-making, development prioritisation and resource allocation
- Deliver consistency of customer experience across multiple platforms, in multiple geographic locations, with initial focus on UK, Europe, South America, North America
- Contribute to the selection and appointment of an external UX/UI agency resource (London)
- Contribute to the consistency, impact and 'cut-through’ of all digital, customer-facing platforms across the business

**Qualifications: UX/UI Director**
- 8+ years of experience within UX/UI Design as a Senior/Lead/Head of UX Design, UIDesigr, UX/UI Design, or similar within a SaaS or Software environment
- Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving difficult UX design problems and simplifying difficult requirements to intuitive interfaces for customers
- Experience closely collaborating with R+D / technical and other functional teams teams
- Complete confidence and competence with technical aspects of UX across iOS, Android, mobile and desktop web platforms
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders and especially to senior executives
- Highly organized and effective project manager with track record for effectively managing design across multiple, concurrent programs
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
- Relentless desire for innovation and driving high standards, balanced with business needs and customer expectations
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
