**Transport Planner - Supply Chain & Logistics - Trafford Park - £26,000 - £29,000**

**About the Company**

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Transport Planner to work at their Trafford Park base as part of their UK - Ireland supply chain service. This is a great opportunity to work with an established International Freight operator with over 50 years of haulage experience. If you have a proven track record of planning safe and efficient cargo transportation with a focus on International Freight Forwarding and are a great communicator, we would like to hear from you.

**Transport Planner - The Rewards**
- Salary £26,000 - £29,000
- 0500 - 13300/1230 - 2100 alternate weeks
- Additional Saturday AM on rota

**Transport Planner - Requirements**
- 2 years of related work experience
- Transport CPC or relevant trade qualification (_desirable_)
- Forwarding qualification (_desirable_)
- Strong computer, administration, literacy and numeracy skills (_essential_)
- 4 GCSEs or equivalent

**Transport Planner - Responsibilities**
- Route and plan own equipment (double decks, curtain side trailers) and external sub-contactors UK wide
- Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure their requirements are fulfilled in line with booked instructions
- Arrange with approved hauliers transport of cargo, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost effectiveness
- Liaise closely with UK wide transport team and external partners
- Maintain awareness of and follow transport regulations, where relevant to conform to all statutory requirements, customers clearance and HMRC requirements
- Prepare correct documentation to the warehouse/haulage departments for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner ensuring all hazardous requirements are met

- Weekend availability

- Trafford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Freight Forwarding: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CPC for Transport Managers (preferred)
