Quality Officer

**Part-time Quality Officer**

**Up to £45,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience**

**2 to 3 days per week, Monday to Friday**

**33 days’ holiday pro rata, bonus, contributory pension + other benefits package.**

**Location - Whetstone (LE8 6NU)**

As part of our ongoing Growth Plan, we are seeking to broaden our internal expertise through the appointment of a Quality Officer; a newly scoped and exciting role. With huge growth potential, this will be an excellent opportunity for the right person totruly make their mark. This role will suit someone from an SME background who is truly passionate about embedding a compliance culture within their organisation by getting immersed in the processes and finding innovative solutions to help the business grow.

Your ultimate goal is to proactively drive through Quality initiatives to improve and maintain excellent Quality standards throughout our operation. You will work collaboratively to embed a compliance culture within the organisation, from our shop flooroperators to our senior management team members. The whole business needs to be bought in to the purpose of Quality standards.

**IN DETAIL**

**Key Tasks/Accountabilities**
- Critical assessment of the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications, ensuring you initiate the appropriate actions to attain and maintain relevant quality standards.
- Responsible for the handling of all internal and externally generated NCRs, ensuring a robust root cause analysis is carried out.
- Allocate ownership of NCR actions and monitor to ensure effective implementation
- Identify opportunities to increase business performance
- Ensuring manufacturing or production processes meet relevant international and national standards
- Produce newsletters and bulletins to all staff
- Maintain a central register of Quality improvement activities and reports
- Monitor and report on relevant KPI’s, producing weekly management reports
- Assisting and encouraging staff to continuously review work practices and acting as a reference and resource for staff seeking to implement Quality improvement actions
- Undertake continual professional development activities including attending seminars and reading professional journals

- SME Manufacturing background
- Experience with ISO9001

Desirable
- Relevant HND qualification (e.g. Engineering/Polymer Science Technology/Manufacturing
- 2 plus years in a Quality Officer or similar position
- FMCG or chemical manufacturing environment
- 2 plus years working with 9001
