We are looking for new members of our large in store team to work in our fast paced, customer service focussed store.

Experience in optics is not required as all training will be provided, however experience in sales, or face to face customer service would be an advantage.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

- Approaching customers to offer assistance and explore customer needs thoroughly
- Understanding visual perception and basic visual defects
- Analysing prescriptions accurately to dispense appropriate spectacles that fit both the prescription and patient lifestyle needs
- Operating the till and in store computer systems
- Answering customer phone calls
- Fitting, maintenance and adjustments of spectacles
- The offering of suitable extras on spectacles to match patient needs

The right person will have:

- A high standard of spoken and written English
- Effective communication skills
- A high level of interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop relationships with a wide range of people
- Strive for customer service excellence

You will have a fixed working schedule which will include 1 weekend day each week. Full and part time applicants welcomed although ability to work 1 weekend day per week is a must.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £17,803.00-£20,000.00 per year
