**About The Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join the team at in the Turner Diagnostic Centre (TDC) at Colchester General Hospital, a busy NHS site.

The role will involve meeting and greeting patients for MRI and preparing them for their scan and assisting the radiographers.As well as patient support, there will be some administrative tasks as part of our IT patient management processes.

The hours will be 40 hours per week working Monday-Sunday - predominantly working 12 hour shifts.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in a Healthcare environment as they will be required to provide customer/patient care support, including chaperoning patients and assisting the MRI Radiographers throughout the patient pathway.
- They will also have a commitment to assist with admin duties in line with standard guidelines
- To be successful in this role they must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good IT and administration skills and the ability to understand and comply with radiation protection protocols. Excellent patient care skills are essential.
- Attention to detail is key, along with being flexible, organized and having an enthusiastic attitude.
