This is an exciting new opportunity for a part qualified Management Accountant to join the management accounts team of this highly acquisitive, rapidly growing, Harrogate based SME.
The business have offices based just out of Harrogate town centre with on site parking and close to the train situation, and they offer hybrid working, with the option to work two days a week from home
This role will work as part of the growing management accounts team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and you will gain all round exposure to compliment your studies, as well as lots of progression opportunity to move up, and take on more responsibilityas you progress through your qualification
The key duties of the role will include:

- To ensure the monthly management accounts are prepared to 1st draft review and submitted within agreed timescales.
- Taking a lead on the accounting side of accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and relevant reconciliations.
- Ensure the company payroll posting are accurate vs budget figures.
- Ownership of the financial processing and reporting
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for creating accounts preparation efficiencies.
- Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.
- Production and development of accounting packs,
- Attendance at monthly financial management reporting meetings with relevant operational stakeholders and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- To support on the annual external audit.
- Be actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA or have the relevant experience - Essential
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in management accounts - Essential
- Have an excellent knowledge of MS Excel - Essential
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with non finance stakeholders - Desirable
