**MIG Welder Job Description**

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily structural steel, ensuring precision and quality.
- Assemble components as per engineering specifications and drawings.
- Fabricate parts using power tools and hand tools, adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
- Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in MIG welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques and processes related to structural steel fabrication.
- Good understanding of safety practices in a welding environment.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: £16.00-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:
