_The social media officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Musana’s online presence by leading creative initiatives, setting up digital fundraisers, collaborating with global teams, and managing our social media channels. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can craft compelling content that resonates with our audience, aligns with our brand values, amplifies our community engagement, and increases conversions_
- Responsibilities:_
- Strategy:_
- Lead the social media strategy to build it out further and optimise as we go, which includes:_
- Paid and organic social strategies and campaigns that align with our KPIs; Key KPIs include engagement, increase in audience, reach, key conversions _
- Content creation management and scheduling for organic and paid social_
- Influencer acquisition, contracts, and management_
- Blog ideas and content management_
- Support key leaders in the thought leadership sector_
- Support for UK events_
- Creative Leadership:_
- Lead creative development from the brand side with the content creation team, era92, based in Kampala, Uganda._
- Collaborate with the U.K. Director and U.S. Marketing Director to ensure all social media concepts are relevant, engaging, and aligned with Musana’s goals._
- Stay informed about events, activities, programs, and construction projects happening across Musana locations to share timely and relevant content._
- Build content will capture the attention of our audience and drive engagement. Work closely with internal and external teams to create content that captivates our audience within the first few seconds of viewing._
- Create campaigns, and own start to finish_
- ○ Paid social strategy development and execution_
- ○ Fundraising campaigns through live streaming, peer-to-peer fundraising, host virtual events, strategic ways to share blog content that pivots content into a fundraising effort etc._
- ○ Influencer campaigns_
- ○ Thought-leadership campaigns _
- ○ Giveaways_
- ○ And more_
- Brand Guidelines & Consistency:_
- Guarantee that every piece of content, including commenting and messaging, reflects Musana’s model of community development, brand values, brand voice, and brand visual guidelines. _
- Community Management & Thought Leadership:_
- Engage with audiences and communities across social media platforms, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner._
- Initiate and participate in conversations with thought leaders, organisations, and key stakeholders to build relationships and enhance Musana’s online presence._
- Reporting & Analytics:_
- Track social media metrics and insights, providing detailed reports that outline success rates, trends, and areas for improvement._
- Track and report user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics._
- Use data-driven insights to refine social media strategies and improve future campaigns._
- Qualifications:_
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field_
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement_
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices_
- Experience with tracking and reporting the user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics_
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills_
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and manage multiple projects_
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand development_
- Experience with social media analytics tools and reporting_
- Organisational and time management skills_
