**Starting rate is £12 per hour, £62 per sleep in shift, full paid induction and training days, free DBS check, 28 days per year annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata for bank & part time staff), staff incentives, discount schemes available, wellbeing support, advice and guidance. Rotas completed in advance to encourage work/life balance.**
Due to continued growth we are urgently seeking part time and full time support workers to join our team of caring support staff. Our specialised supported living services offer high-quality, person-centred care and support.
We are looking for experienced, energetic and compassionate staff who can enhance the lives of our Supported Individuals and bring a positive contribution to the staff team. We require staff members who can use their own initiative and problem solve, who also have that creativity factor and can engage our clients in meaningful and exciting opportunities.
**Overview of duties**:

- Promoting the independence of each individual and empowering them to have as much control over their lives as possible
- Enabling each individual to live happy and fulfilling lifestyles such as accessing the community, recreational activities, education/employment etc
- Supporting each individual to maintain excellent standards of health and wellbeing and ensuring their needs are met holistically
- Protecting individuals from harm and ensuring their safety
- Building strong, trusting relationships with individuals through therapeutic communication and rapport
- Demonstrating professionalism and resilience when dealing with challenging behaviour/situations
- Digitally updating care and support records accurately throughout each shift (must be able to operate a smart phone confidently)
- Ability to manage each day being different and adapting to changes
- Understanding requirements of CQC and/or Ofsted regulations and reflecting those requirements within your practice at all times
**Essential**:
- A minimum of 1 year previous experience within a support/care worker role within the UK
- Must be a kind, compassionate person, passionate about bettering the lives of others
- Reliable
- Honest
**Desirable**:
- LVL 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or Children and Young People
- Driver
- Experience working with complex mental health and following Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Pay: £12.20 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 45 per week
