**Purpose of the role**

To perform various tasks to aid daily operations with a factory environment. The Labourer is responsible for loading and unloading materials and equipment, inclusive but not limited to assisting fabricators in their duties, providing general maintenance of the warehouse and check goods in accordance with paperwork. Whilst ensuring the production schedule is adhered to, the required parts are present and meeting safety, quality and control standards set out by the company.

**Key responsibilities**
- Prepare deliveries accurately as instructed by the Logistics Manager
- Load and unload the van for delivery with goods.
- Check goods in accordance with paperwork, escalating potential challenges.
- Check products for damages before delivery and report to line manager.
- Transmit information in a clear, concise, and confident manner.
- Adhere to company safety procedures and embrace culture of safety within the factory floor.

**Ad hoc **- **perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.**
- Keep factory floor tidy and courtyard free of any safety hazards, this may entail sweeping the floors.
**Key Skills**
- Have a high level of physical fitness and must be strong as heavy lifting is a major requirement of the role
- You will need to be prepared to carry out a large degree of manual handling
- **Communication skills - **the ability to read & follow specific instructions accurately
- **Organisational Skills** - the role will require the individual to be able to follow a production schedule. Therefore, it is essential to be able to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet installation deadlines.
- **Flexible approach** - multitask and be flexible in all areas of the factory, be prepared to carry out a large degree of manual handling, therefore physical stamina is essential.
