You will join the team at The Avalon Centre in Swindon, a purpose-built neurological centre for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury and may have challenging and complex needs. You'll be part of a neurobehavioral rehabilitation service model that is psychology-led and where the Clinical Lead is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. As a part of the service model, you will support people with acquired brain injury, whose needs arebest met through participation in a neurobehavioral rehabilitation programme. Reporting to a Registered Psychologist, you will assist in designing and delivering prescribed behavioural programmes to service users and will support the Senior Management Team in creating and sustaining a therapeutic culture to enable the clinical teamto deliver interventions. You will contribute to assessments, assist with running therapeutic groups and build individual rapports with people to create a safe environment to support their care plans. As a Psychology Support Worker, you will be embedded into the team, where you will enjoy regular training and supervision as you are managed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Lead. Additionally, you'll turn your hand research projects andaudits. **Your responsibilities**: - Delivery of prescribed neurobehavioral rehabilitation interventions to service users under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Lead - Supporting the Senior Management Team in creating and sustaining a therapeutic culture within which service users thrive and all members of the transdisciplinary team can successfully deliver rehabilitation interventions - Undertaking assessments and therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups as directed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Lead - Assisting in the delivery of personal care and other therapeutic interventions as required under the direction and supervision of members of the transdisciplinary team. **To be successful in this role, you'll need** - A BPS accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) - Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident in giving feedback to service users and staff - A positive attitude as the Centre has been specially designed for the purpose of providing neurobehavioral rehabilitation so it therefore can be a challenging environment **What you will get** - Annual salary of £19,500 + Benefits - Opportunities to participate in additional training, research and audit - Potential progression to the Senior Psychology Support Worker role - The equivalent of 33 days annual leave - plus your birthday off - Free meals and parking - Wellbeing support and activities - Career development and training - Pension contribution - Life Assurance - Enhanced Maternity Package There is also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers and much more. **About your next employer**: You will be working for an established, stable and agile company with a unique approach to the delivery of care.
