**Purpose of the role**

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive mid-weight copywriter or editor with at least 1-2 years of agency or in-house experience. You will have an excellent grasp of the English language, with a critical eye for detail and a talent for turning good copy into exceptional copy. The types of content we create is highly varied; from ecommerce category content, to blogs and articles and branding / tone of voice documents for our clients - so the ability to multi-task and jump from one task to another is essential for this role. This role is heavily geared towards writing and editing SEO-focussed content that delivers results. Therefore, a strong understanding of SEO techniques, keyword research, content marketing, outreach strategies and social media marketing (to name but a few) will be looked upon favourably.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Senior Content Creator, supporting and managing the creation of all content throughout the business, including writing content briefs for external copywriters and the wider team, and proofreading all content back into the business.
- Drafting and editing engaging and original content - as both part of a team and as an individual.
- Optimising blog content, meta-data and landing pages for search engine marketing.
- Supporting and managing entire content projects, from ideation through to tone of voice development through to content creation and upload, for example for a website development project or a specific campaign.
- Researching trends and using insights to develop content strategies and then utilising these insights within copy to ensure a specific goal or outcome (such as a ranking placement or a placed piece of outreach content).
- Drafting copy on behalf of clients for media / journalist requests.
- Perform ongoing keyword research, expansion and optimisation and utilising these findings when developing content strategies.
- Develop internal processes to ensure that all content is produced to a high standard, to client expectation and is delivered on time.

**Salary**:

- Salary: £20k - £25k (depending on experience)
