Senior Solicitor

**About the job** Here at WSCC we have an opportunity for a Senior Solicitor to join our Property team within WSCC Legal Services. **Salary**: £52,670 - £55,782 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) **Working Pattern**: Full-Time or Part-Time **Contract**: Permanent **Location**: County Hall, Chichester In this role your primary focus will be to provide clear and balanced advice on all complex aspects of commercial property law, residential property law, and land law within the Property Team in Legal Services. You will run a mixed case load of complex andpolitically sensitive matters, drafting and providing advice on conditional contracts, acquisitions, disposals, grant agreements, conditional sales and conditional agreements for lease and complex landlord and tenant matters, title reports, and other complexland law matters. There will be a regular requirement for periods of sitting in order to draft technical advice, letters, documents and reports, and a periodic requirement for lifting or carrying moderately heavy items such as case files. There is a regular and intrinsicrequirement to communicate in English with members of the public. In this role you will be working with members of the public and relevant stakeholders which requires excellent communication skills. **Experience and skills** This role is aimed at solicitors with over five years post-qualification (or those with equivalent experience). Solicitors will be expected to complete any formal post qualification training and examination required by their professional body. Progressionthrough the spinal points in the grade will be achieved by successful performance of specific and general work areas. In addition to being a qualified solicitor you will have demonstrable experience and expertise in commercial property and land law. You will need to be able to work with no, or mínimal, supervision, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment to meet urgentneeds of the client service and working beyond "usual" working hours may be expected.
