**Primary School Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant**

**Behaviour specialist Teaching Assistant needed**

**Location - Newport**

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a teaching assistant with relevant experience working with children with Social and Emotional Mental Health and Emotional Behaviour Difficulties for a vacant role in a Primary school in Newport (NP19). You will berequired to work on a one-to-one basis a pupil with challenging behaviour in a mainstream setting, however, will be expected to be adaptable and provide intervention outside the classroom to other pupils in the class or when required.The school are lookingfor an individual who has excellent proven behavioural management and can transmit a positive energy to their surroundings.
- Is able to start on short notice.
- Has relevant experience in a childcare and/or classroom environment.
- Strong behavioural management or experience working with challenging children.
- Is able to be adaptable to various circumstances.
- Positive, patient and energetic.
- The passion to make a real difference.

- Have the **legal right** to work in the UK
Be registered with the **Education Workforce Council** (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide at least **two professional or character references**
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
