**Job Purpose**
To ensure all orders are collated and out loaded for dispatch adhering to timescales and company policies, rules and procedures
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- It is the responsibility of the distribution department to pick all customer orders and then outload these orders to the customer.
- To navigate the company Linkfresh system and use the company hand scanners.
- To adhere to the correct stock rotation of product when collating customer orders.
- To collate the orders in a safe, accurate and tidy manner. This will involve the lifting of heavy trays
- To liaise with the packing department to ascertain product availability
- To carry out safety checks when taking the controls of a company forklift ensuring you have completed the vehicle check sheet. (Report any faults that maybe present with the vehicle).
- To carry out all customer stock counts
- To load all customer trailers in a safe manner following all distribution procedures.
The collator should be a team player but should also be able to work alone without supervision if required.
**Business Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of the Company’s core values
- Perform duties to a high standard and to ensure that quality assurance and improvement processes are implemented successfully across the Company, particularly those relating to own role
- The postholder will be required to encompass the use of IT as appropriate to his/her level of responsibility
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, ethical standards and Health and Safety in the
Workplace
- Commit to, and uphold, the Company Environmental Policies
- Undertake Company training initiatives as appropriate
- Take part in the Company Appraisal process
- To carry out other such duties as such may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post
- Adhere to all health and safety, hygiene and fire regulations and procedures within the
Company.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your Manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business.
- Ensure the relevant food legality, safety, quality and authenticity policies, procedures and checks are conducted according to the company requirements.
This job description reflects the principal accountabilities of the post and identifies the level of responsibility at which the postholder will be required to work. In the interests of effective working, the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing needs and circumstances.
Such reviews and any consequential changes will be carried out after consultation with the postholder
