Gas Trainer

We're looking for a Commercial Gas Trainer to join a new center in Chadderton Manchester.

Pre-requisite: Must have relevant and up-to-date qualifications in Core Gas safety, COCN1 and other commercial elements.

Must have a minimum of 3 years in the Gas industry as a technical engineer.

It would be ideal if you have experience or qualifications in training or assessing, but not essential.

Roles and responsibilities
- Interview prospective learners to ascertain suitability and technical know-how before attending a Gas Managed Learning program.
- Take the learner through the course induction, ensuring the learner is aware of:

- Health & Safety policies
- Code of Conduct of the learner while learning
- Course criteria and duration, including Formative and Summative assessments
- Portfolio building and On-site activities
- Deliver theory-based training sessions referring to training manuals, PowerPoint presentations, publications, workbooks and technical bulletins.
- Delivering practical hands-on training sessions; teaching pipe skills with the installation of various pipe types and configurations. Install, service, and commission a range of commercial gas appliances.
- Invigilation of Formative and Summative written exam papers.
- Assess the learner's competence via Formative and summative practical assessments.
- Carry out training admin duties.

**Job Type**: Part or Full-time positions - Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 16:30 pm.

33 days holiday (inc bank holidays) (Pro-rata for parttime position)
