YWD Transport is a growing transport company based in Elvington, York. Due to exciting new contracts and business expansion, we are looking to add a dedicated **Transport Planner** to our team. This is an incredible opportunity to become the first full-time office staff member, allowing you to shape the future of the company as we grow and expand.

**What we offer**
- Competitive salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per year
- Full-time, permanent position

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Plan and route deliveries and collections for a small fleet of 4 trucks and a van across North Yorkshire area and beyond
- Ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods while optimizing routes and schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving inquiries and issues promptly
- Stay informed on transport regulations to ensure compliance
- Assist with daily operations to ensure the smooth running of the transport department

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to adapt to the growth of the company and take on new challenges
- Knowledge of the pallet network is an advantage
