- **Who are Ambient Support?**_

Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with a mental health needs and people with learning disabilities.

**Newham Floating Support** provides a housing related support service offering personalised practical and emotional support based on individual needs, and we currently operate from **7AM until 10PM**. 365 days a year.

Floating Support enables people to understand and manage their own mental health.

**The role of our Care Support Workers**:

- _Providing social and emotional support, either at home and/or in their local community_
- _Supporting residents with their personal care including personal hygiene needs if required._
- _Support with their shopping and assisting with budgeting._
- _Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family of our residents._
- _Household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry._
- _Going out for walks, meals and other activities that supported individuals may want to experience._

**Skills and attributes of our Care Support Workers**:

- You need to be a very calm, caring individual with a positive outlook.
- Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Computer Literate
- Car driver desirable but not essential
