**Female Support Worker, based in a loving family home, required**

We are seeking a Female Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a delightful young adult in her family home in Ditchling Village. You will work 1:1 with our client, and receive support and supervision from our management team. We are a CQC regulated company, providing care and support for people with complex needs.
- Please note: you will need to have your own transport as there is no public transport available near to Sofia’s home._

**About Sofia**

Sofia is a bright, cheerful 20-year-old who lives with her family. She has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and upper respiratory issues, and requires a high level of support in her daily life. Sofia is non-verbal, but is able to communicate her needs in other ways.

**Sofia is**:

- PEG-fed for nutrition and medication
- Supported with suctioning when needed
- Hoisted for all transfers

Despite her complex needs, Sofia enjoys music, spending time with her family, and spending time with others. She thrives in a positive, supportive environment.

**Your Role**:

- Provide full personal care support for Sofia
- Administration of Sofia’s medication (via PEG)
- Support Sofia’s physical and emotional wellbeing
- Support Sofia with her regular therapeutic regime
- Provide Sofia will opportunities to experience life and have fun
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Work closely with the family, therapists and healthcare professionals

**Experience and skills**:

- Essential: Experience working with people with disabilities
- Desirable: Knowledge of PEG feeding and hoist use (training will be provided)
- A caring, kind, yet professional approach
- Respect for privacy and confidentiality
- Willingness to undertake specialist training from nurses and therapists

**Terms, Hours and Pay**
- **Two-week rolling rota (we are able to consider part-time or job-share applicants.)**_

**Week 1**
- Monday to Wednesday: 08:00 - 18:00 (30 hours)

**Week 2**
- Wednesday: 08:00 - 18:00 (10 hours)

**Rates**
Weekdays: £16.00 per hour
Weekends: £18.00 per hour
Bank Holidays: £20.00 per hour
- Additional hours may be available to cover holidays and absences._

**Conditions**

You will need to hold a full UK (or equivalent) driving licence, and be comfortable and confident in driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

You must have your own vehicle in which to travel to and from work.

*Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
