Visitor Attraction Tour Guide

Wire & Sky is an Urban Aerial Adventure company. We run rooftop adventures in London, creating exciting visitor attractions for tourists to see London from a different perspective. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our dynamic,fun-loving team based at The O2 Arena (The attraction is called Up at The O2). No previous experience is required.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- To guide groups of customers over the roof, ensuring their utmost safety.
- To provide an entertaining, fun tour for customers.
- To help the Wire & Sky team and The O2 maintain the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency by working pro-actively and diligently with the rest of the team.

**Customer Service & Personal Attributes**
- Excellent customer service skills with proven customer service experience
- A good communicator who remains calm under pressure
- An enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Be able to work on own initiative as part of a team.
- Energetic, flexible attitude to work.

**Essential**
- An excellent awareness of Health and Safety and the ability to follow procedures.
- An in-date, current DBS check (if you don't have one we can help you obtain one).

**Desirable**
- Previous Tour Guiding experience
- Experience working in adventure / outdoors

**Hours of work**

Casual - flexible working - you can choose your shifts although some weekend work will be required. Progression to a permanent contract is possible if desired.

**Training / Selection Process**

We will provide all the training that you require. The training is unique to our venues and is suitable anyone with a head for heights and a willingness to learn.

**How the Training Course / Selection Process will work**
- Pre-Learning packs are sent out in advance of training for home learning.
- A mandatory training course must be attended. This is a mixture of classroom-based learning, shadow & mentor climbs (dates below).
- A written and practical exam must be passed in order to be offered employment.
- This is a fun course that helps you get to know your future colleagues really well.
- A £400 fee will be paid to you on successful completion of the training.

**Training Dates**
- Tuesday 26th July - Introduction Training Day
- Wednesday 27th July - Training Day
- Thursday 28th July - Training Day
- Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd August (First Aid Course)
- Thursday 4th August - Assessment
- The above dates are the compulsory training for which you must be available. You must _also complete 12 training climbs in your own time between the initial training days and _your assessment date._
