Network System Engineer

**Position -**Network Systems Engineer

**Location** -South Ruislip

**Salary -**£55,000 plus bonus and benefits package

**Background**:
We are currently working with global IT manufacturer and service provider who are currently recruiting a Network Systems Engineer to join their team. The role will be responsible for providing support and growth across the Network.
- Possess an understanding and knowledge of CCNP topics.
- Provide a detailed understanding and knowledge of TCP/IP. Be able to identify network problems and issues with the use of network sniffers such as Wireshark.
- Good understanding of wireless protocols and management of corporate wireless networks. Knowledge of other vendors would be an advantage.
- Capable of configuring Cisco network switches, routers, ASA firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls, Pulse Secure Remote Access VPN.
- Cisco CCNA level certified (or equivalent proven real world experience).
- Good working knowledge of IP addressing & subnetting.
- Good working knowledge of OSPF routing.
- Good working knowledge of LAN technologies, VLANs, VTP, Spanning Tree, DHCP, Layer2 switching.
- Knowledge of security on IOS (access lists).

This role is based in South Ruislip but will require occasion travel to other datacentres and comes with a generous salary up to £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits.
