**Job description**

White Horse are proud to be partnering with a luxury retailer based in Somerset to assist them in appointing a new Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join a growing, strong valued and sustainable focusedemployer who can offer a diverse opportunity within their team. This role will be responsible for the production of the Design Co management accounts and the reconciliation of the Design Co balance sheet. The Design Co Management Accountant will business partnerthe Production and Head Office functions.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the line management of the Treasury and Finance Assistant.
- Accurate and timely preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Partner with non-finance personnel to aid understanding of results and overall control of costs.
- Responsibility for fixed asset accounting.
- Preparation of prepayments and accruals.
- Oversight of cashbooks and daily cashflow information.
- Assistance with annual budgets and reforecasts.
- Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return.
- Completing National Statistics returns as required.
- Ensuring the reconciliations of all control accounts are completed on an agreed cycle. With any reconciling entries investigated and any necessary adjustments are made in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring all recharges are reconciled and invoiced on a timely basis.
- Assisting with the annual audit and ensuring that all necessary analysis and support information is available in line with the agreed timetable.
- Managing the provision of all necessary analysis to the Groups internal tax team and external advisers for the purposes of the preparation of the corporation tax return.
- Preparation of ad hoc management information and analysis as requested by the Operations Finance Manager.

**Skills & Knowledge Required**
- Qualified accountant ACCA / CIMA/ ACA
- Experience with ERP systems -Prima, Open Accounts, Business Objects and Hyperion.
- Advanced excel skills essential.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Well-developed skills in problem solving and planning, with an ability to work with cross functional departments to solve problems.
- Attention to detail and right first time.
- Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
- Enquiring mindset with ability to add value to the business.
- Ability to communicate well with non-finance individuals.
