The purpose of this role is to support the Merchandising & Buying teams to maximize sales and profit opportunities through the effective management of stock and option level. Ensuring all purchase orders are raised accurately and allocation of stock to the right place at the right time, driving sales through improved availability, and so reducing markdown and maximizing profit.

**Review & Research**:

- Provide accurate sales reports and analysis to support the merchandising team with strategy decisions on stock and range planning
- Attend store visits on a regular basis and communicate feedback to relevant teams
- Seek feedback from stores to support / investigate current performance and feedback to team

**Range Planning & Building**:

- Collate accurate sales history reports to gain an understanding of best and worst sellers to support buying and merchandising teams with range planning decisions

**Intake**:

- Ensure all POs on department are raised accurately with all required information
- Update and maintain accurate delivery schedule & Critical Path
- accurate at all times
- Communicates efficiently with relevant departments and suppliers to ensure critical path and delivery dates are maintained, ensuring any issues are escalated to B&M team

**Allocations**:

- Load allocations into allocation system in line with agreed plan, escalating issues relevant Team members.
- Ensure stock is moving through the warehouse as expected, escalating issues as required
- Respond to store queries and take action where appropriate
- With assistance from the Assistant Merchandiser manage stock builds for promotional/markdown activity
- Review ‘Never out of stock’ lines and ensure stocks are at the correct levels
- Ensuring stock levels in these stores are at an optimal level

**Trade**:

- Understand current trade performance
- Ensure that stock is terminalized effectively by building stock into best stores for key trading periods
- Ensurethat replenishment parameters setup
- Flag lines with high depot volumes throughout the season
- Review MD stock levels/sales suggesting actions such as fast turning stores or stores not clearing through quickly
