The Bungalow in Penzance has an exciting opportunity to welcome a motivated and compassionate Individual to join our established and dedicated team in supporting Adults with learning disabilities and their families to access valuable respite services on offer here in Cornwall.

The purpose of our service is to provide individuals with a relaxed and enjoyable break away from home, whilst allowing families and carers to have a much-needed rest from their caring role.

This is an exciting role which would suit an experienced Manager, or potentially an experienced Deputy Manager looking to progress their career. Reporting to the Registered Manager and working alongside another Managers you will manage the day to day running of the service.

Person specification for the successful Deputy Team Leader:

- Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and Positive Behaviour Plans
- Passionate about delivering high quality levels of care, enabling people to live a more independent life
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards this)
- Experience in managing a team of Support Workers
- Excellent communication skills and IT skills

Key responsibilities for the Deputy Team Leader:

- Be a role model to your support staff, demonstrating excellent support to service users
- Support and manage the team effectively
- Responsible in the key day to day running of the supported living service
- Alongside other Managers you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the highest standards of support and care within the service
- On call responsibilities for the County respite services (paid extra)
