**Paralloy** has an exciting opportunity for an **Quality Engineer - Fabrications**to join our team based at our **Billingham**site, h**owever, flexibility will be required to travel to our other sites where business demand permits**. **About the **Quality Engineer - Fabrications** role**:
As our **Quality Engineer - Fabrications,**you will** carry out inspection checks at all stages of fabrication and NDT inspection. Monitor and assist with all shop floor documentation.

**Responsibilities of our **Quality Engineer - Fabrications** will include**:

- Inspecting fabricated assemblies at various stages of assembly. Assisting with dye penetrant of assemblies if required. Monitoring the correct completion of material location sheets and welder log sheets. Compiling front end and back end documentation. Checking completed assemblies against final inspection report. Have a working understanding of PMI testing of materials and welds. Weld procedure and welder audits. Inspection of assemblies as per customer quality plan/drawings. Liaising with third-party and customer inspectors. Promoting an understanding of Paralloy quality requirements to all shopfloor personnel. Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy’s safety standards and procedures. General 5s housekeeping /Operator PPMs.
**What we’re looking for in our **Quality Engineer - Fabrications**:

- Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings. Able to assist in fabrication of assemblies when necessary. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word. A good understanding of health and safety, environmental issues and quality rules.
