Civils Supervisor

Civils Supervisor. A Swindon based energy firm need a Civils Supervisor to support the operational delivery of HV and LV installations for some of the UK’s biggest rollout of Electric Vehicle (EV), Renewables and I&C projects. You’ll be responsible for ongoing supervision of on and off site activities, day to day organisational running of our Civils teams and contractors ensuring works are carried out in line with legislation and Sinewave RAMS.

The Civils Supervisor will:

- You'll ensure the effective utilisation and supervision of internal civils teams.
- You will motivate and develop a team to deliver the company’s civils works.
- Complete NERS assessments for civils activity inline, including all required documentation.
- Carrying out site audits ensuring correct procedures, methods and use of PPE are adhered to; reporting findings and coaching to educate.
- Ensure daily site updates for projects are received from both internal (3 photos/day for progress of works) and external civils resource.
- Point of escalation for on-site civils delivery standards.
- Support with operational recruitment and onboarding.
- Support with onsite works as required in line with business needs.
- Production of RAMS.

The Civils Supervisor:

- Carrying out site visits on our sub-contractors, assessing quality, progress and giving feedback to the Project Managers.
- Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS, and competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents.
- Ensuring personnel and your wider team understand duties under safety documents.
- Carrying out skill assessments on and off-site and liaise with training teams.
- Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site users and the general public.
- Woring safely at-all-times and ensure the safety of all those working around you.
- Undertaking site specific risk assessments.

The Civils Supervisor will need experience and qualifications in:

- Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
- NRSWA qualifications with a sound understanding of TMA, NRSWA and permitting schemes.
- CSCS (or affiliated).
- SSSTS or SMSTS, or equivalent experience.
- Competent NERS assessor in area of competence - Civils work or willing to learn.
- 4 years experience of civils work.
- ?Experience of working with local council HAUC initiatives.

The Civils Supervisor salary is £35-42k + van, fuel card, travel and overtime.
