Do you want to become HGV Driver? Are pretty good behind the wheel? Would you like the opportunity to join a fully funded Class 1 Driver training programme?

We’re currently recruiting for Trainee Class 1 Drivers to join our Cooperative site in Andover. All you need is a UK driving licence and we will take care of the rest.

You will be enrolled onto 16 weeks training course to gain Class 1 Driver qualification with a guaranteed permanent role at the end of it

**Training program includes**:

- Driver Medical Examination
- Theory training and test
- Practical training (Class 2 & Class 1) & test (at a DVLA approved centre near you)
- CPC Training

**Pay, benefits and more**:
As this is a fully funded programme, you will not be paid for the 16 weeks training period, however, once in full-time employment you will get a salary £38,332.25 per year, for working any 5 days out of 7 week. You will be provided a working rota in advance,but flexibility is essential as the role includes weekend work.

There are also regular overtime shifts available for those drivers who would like to earn some additional pay on top of their basic rates as above

**What you’ll do on a typical day once you are qualified**:

- You will be making deliveries to Co-op stores
- Completing all vehicle checks prior to departing site
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Drive to become successful HGV Driver
- A full UK driving licence
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no IN, DD, DR or DG endorsements)
