National Shower Spares and Direct Heating Spares, part of the Highbourne Group, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Online Content & Marketing Assistant to join their busy ecommerce team.
The primary focus for this role is to support the growth and success of our spares ecommerce platforms by expanding product ranges, improving existing content, and maximising the information available to customers to make informed purchases.
Tasks
- Maintaining existing product records and data, including schematic diagrams, information and specifications, guides/manuals, images and videos
- Setting up new products and ranges (including data and imagery as described above)
- Taking and editing product images to make them web ready
- Pricing of products and monitoring competitors’ pricing strategies
- Running promotions, offers and advertising campaigns, including tracking results
- Producing and implementing marketing plans
- Using analytics tools to gather important data and make judgement calls on product and site performance (using social media analytics and Google Analytics, etc)
- Composing and posting online content on our websites, blogs, and social media accounts
- Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department
- Other ad-hoc duties to help the wider business that are still within your ability
Requirements and Skills
Essential:
- Confident IT and computer skills, including familiarity with software suites such as Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) or an online equivalent such as Google Workspace
- High levels of attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Capable of working under pressure
- Able to prioritise tasks according to urgency
- Happy to perform repetitive tasks
- Not afraid to ask questions and present new ideas or improvements
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of online trading in order to make a profit through pricing and promotions
- Social media and marketing experience, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
- Some understanding of digital marketing techniques (e.g. using a provider such as Mailchimp)
- Experience/knowledge of Google Analytics or other equivalent
- Experience of image editing and creating media assets
