**M ake a difference - become a Trustee at The Shakespeare Hospice**

The Shakespeare Hospice is based in Stratford upon Avon and offers services across South Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. We aim to ensure that every young person and adult living in our community with a life limiting illness, and those who matter tothem, will be supported with the care and compassion they need.

We are looking for new Trustees who share a passion to serve our community and who can help us ensure that we are able to deliver our services today, tomorrow and for always. This is a voluntary role, and you will work with the Board and the Senior ManagementTeam to ensure that we continue to deliver our much-needed services.Even in the current challenging environment we have continued to operate for the benefit of those in the community who need our support.

- Retail
- Strategic IT
- HR
- Governance particularly in a Charity context
- Income Generation - including fundraising and new income streams
- Finance
- Clinical Governance

Our new Trustees should be able to demonstrate appropriate professional skills to enable them to provide oversight of the activities of the Hospice and provide challenge and support to the Senior Management Team. They will need to have excellent communicationand interpersonal skills and an empathy with Hospice philosophy is essential.

All Trustees are required to attend 6 Board Meetings per annum, plus 2 strategic planning days and the AGM. You will also be expected to become a member of one or two of the Board subcommittees and attend regular meetings of that committee. Trustees areencouraged to attend fundraising events throughout the year. In return you will be able to share your experience and expertise in driving forward a progressive charity and make a real contribution to your community.
