Legal Professional Support

We are seeking 2 full time Legal Professional Support staff to be part of our very busy Legal Service.
You will be part of a large and experienced Service, assisting the Council in the effective delivery of advice and support across a broad range of matters - you will have the opportunity to work with any number of our specialist teams, e.g. litigation, children and/or adult social care, property, planning and commercial (to name a few).
The role will include providing comprehensive professional support to lawyers in Legal Services in relation to legal case matters, including coordination of cases in our case management system, supporting fee earners in the delivery of legal work, audio digital typing, electronic filing, preparing bundles, leases, contracts and administering the Legal Helpline and Team Inbox. Additionally, you will provide support to other strands of the Legal Service when required such as assisting with post and sealing.
This is a varied and interesting role working with a very friendly but busy Service. Support and training will be provided. Don’t worry if you don’t have local government experience as we’ll give you the support you need to develop and learn that area. This role is an excellent stepping-stone for anyone wishing to pursue a career in law.

Both are full time roles; one permanent and one fixed term contract of one year but we are open to discussion about flexible working including part time hours.
