**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has risen in our expanding business for a professional, motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our dynamic Transport Department to contribute towards the day to day running of the business as a Traffic Planner.

The role is diverse with responsibilities ranging from:

- Produce a daily Transport Plan in line with customer orders and expectations
- Assist the Transport Management Team to ensure effective management and planning of drivers
- Ensure effective communication to the whole driving team
- Liaising with workshop to ensure equipment inspected on time and defects rectified and maintained to a high standard
- Accepting and dealing with customers’ orders, tracking orders and providing customers with updates as and when necessary
- Helping to manage all forms of communication in regard to customer, sales and driver queries
- Ensuring Driver Hours and Regulations are being adhered to
- Adhering to the company Health and Safety policies & practices
- Helping other staff with any ad-hoc and other administrative duties

**Requirements**:

- Previous transport planning experience with strong organisational skills
- Good geographical knowledge
- A full understanding of Tachograph, working time and drivers’ hours regulations
- Good communication skills

This is a hands-on role which will require an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, but also able to follow instructions and is keen to learn, in fast-paced, dynamic environment, within the Waste Management Sector.
