**About us**

**We have an exciting new opportunity for a multi-skilled Engineer Technician to join our professional and friendly team at our Hatfield site. This site is an automated warehouse where all Ocado products are stored. It also facilitates our customers' orders which are picked and dispatched, using highly sophisticated systems and processes, enabling Ocado to deliver in one hour time slots. In order to run such an operation, a skilled and dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians must be on hand to carry out maintenance and repairs at all times.**

**About the role**

**As an Engineering Technician, you will be carrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed. Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given. Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance. Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and actioning repairs and perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of all equipment.**

**About you**

**If you are currently working in an engineering role ideally in a fast paced environment, this could be the perfect next opportunity for you. You will ideally have some technical ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be preferred, but training can be given. A formal engineering related qualification would be advantageous. Competent mechanically and demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability**
