We’re offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated **Accounts Assistant** to join and support our Finance team in Hull. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a professional yet welcoming organisation, in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As an **Accounts Assistant**, you will play a key role in transaction processing, with a primary focus on **accounts receivable and accounts payable**. You’ll bring your numeracy and organisational skills to help the team achieve its business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Preparing and finalising client invoices
- Posting of client receipts using remittance advice
- Assisting in the preparation of the weekly client invoice report
- Reviewing and posting new supplier requests
- Checking and coding purchase requisitions
- Posting purchase invoices and employee expense claims
- Supporting month-end activities, including reconciliations and preparing/posting journals
**What we are looking for**:
- Strong numeracy skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Knowledge of SRA Accounts rules (desirable but not essential)
