**Job summary**:
The Estates Auditor is responsible for coordinating and contributing to the undertaking of audits and inspections to ascertain levels of compliance and assurance that the Dstl Estate is Statutorily & Legally compliant, enabling Dstl to deliver high impact S&T. This role requires a close and collaborative working relationship with the Dstl Estates community and the Dstl FM Strategic Supplier (EMCOR UK).

**Job description**:
**In this role you will**:
- Set up audits in accordance with the assurance plan;
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Auditor and Subject Matter Experts to define the audit scope;
- Work collaboratively with other auditors and auditees to gather information in the fieldwork phase of the audit;
- Using Dstl’s defined audit process, report the findings in both written and verbal format;
- Attend Management Action Planning meetings ensuring SMART actions are recorded to drive improvement;
- Support the Assurance Manager in the follow up and tracking of actions to ensure they are completed satisfactorily;
- Engage with the Estates Risk Manager to ensure emerging risks are captured appropriately
**Person specification**:
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- An understanding of organisational quality standards (e.g. ISO 140001), quality frameworks and of different assurance tools and techniques g. auditing and investigations
- An understanding of an industry standard and / or framework to which Estates manages its fixed infrastructure g. SFG20
- An understanding of HSWA1974 and activity-related relevant H&S
- Experience of planning and conducting audits
- A proven track record of communicating and owning difficult messages
- The ability to prioritise their workload in the face of conflicting demands and flexible in the response to changing situations
**Important Information***
This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
