Trainee Locksmith

The Lock Father Ltd are seeking an apprentice/trainee locksmith. You will need to be aged over 21 and have a full, clean UK driving licence.

An established locksmith and method of entry business operating across Essex and London. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer care, a strong commitment to 'getting the job done' and a desire to be the number one locksmith service.

The role is varied - you will be undertaking residential call-outs including changing/repairing locks, refitting/installing new locks, fault-finding and problem solving as well as 'lock outs'. The role will also include work for our commercial clients - estate agents, property maintenance and enforcement services. Whilst most of the work will take place across Essex, there will be some travel across London and further afield.

You will receive 'on the job' training - out and about with our locksmiths and will be set targets to achieve. Once competency has been evidenced, we will aim to transfer you to a Locksmith contract.

You need to be able to work various shifts - however mainly Monday - Friday, able to read and write, with a good command of English and complete day sheet/invoices with accuracy, work alone in a pressured environment and problem solve.

We are seeking someone who will have some experience within a trade arena - ideally with some knowledge and/or experience of fitting/identifying locks. If you think you have what it takes please evidence what skills you can offer in your CV/cover letter.
