We are Pro-Pak Foods, a leading producer of many of the Nation’s most loved ready meals and convenience foods. Producing 150,000 individual meals every day from our base in Malton, our Team’s and Chefs continually work hard to exceed our customers’ expectations.

We are looking to recruit 2 Dispatch Operatives to work as part of Team to ensure the smooth running of the loading bay in order to ensure that we meet the needs of the business and retain high levels of customer service.

**Main duties (but not limited to are)**:

- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Picking orders for Dispatch
- Under the guidance of Supervisors, ensure that each customers specification is followed and any anomalies to this standard are reported immediately
- Ensure that any Dispatch requirement set by the Supervisor is met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls in stock are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times within the Production and Dispatch Area
- Carry out appropriate training including regular refresher/update training as and when required
- Report any equipment defects immediately to the Supervisor
- Maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
- Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure the throughput of all products in a timely and efficient manner
- Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
- Assume responsibility for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality
- Understand relevant legislation, internal company policies and procedures, codes of practice, technical specifications, COSHH regulations

**Requirements, experience and person specification**:

- All relevant site/area policies, procedures processes (including customer specific requirements)
- Experience picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques

Current shift pattern: 10am to 10pm 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off.

Pay rate: £10.00 per hour

Start date: ASAP
