A Learning & Development Advisor is required to work for BAE Systems to provide advice, guidance & support to the functions, on Learning and Development and Organisation Development activities. The jobholder will work to ensure that customer requirementsare understood and effective development solutions are implemented in line with the L&D Strategy, to enhance individual and business performance. This role is not delivering training and will involve discussing training within the business, evaluating budgets,delivering integrated business plans and forecasting demands.
Duties will involve;
- Delivering IBP- Integrated Business Plan to the business
- Setting and evaluating budgets
- Working on budgets for departmental areas working with shared services
- Evaluating L&D development.
- Delivery project management is key
- Evaluation of learning
- Managing the demands of dealing with large stakeholders
- Delivering people plans (HR advisory skill set would be greatly suited for this role).
- Managing development and learning plans
- Managing budgets.
A CIPD qualification or equivalent is required and deemed necessary as well as being resilient and be able to deliver in a large business complex.
Relevant Experience
- Stakeholder management, business partnering similar to HR Business partner experience but for learning as this is a business facing role.
- Partnering with the business to support end-to-end delivery of functional skills strategies and plans through learning.
- Delivering specific learning projects which are key to enabling our programmes.
- Experience of working across all parts of learning cycle - TNA, Develop / Design, Deliver, Evaluate / Assure.
- Experience of managing budgets with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and make recommendations.
- L&D/ HR Consultancy skills, including the ability to analyse business issues and design and implement appropriate solutions for stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven record in a Business Partner or customer-facing L&D/HR role.
- Previous experience working in complex/diverse environments with workforces of 1000s as opposed to 100s
- Ability to work with pressure and complexity in an agile and resilient manner.
- Effective project management skills.
This is a hybrid role and the jobholder will be required to work 2 days a week in the Barrow Office.
