Maintenance & Engineering Project Leader - Arla

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Lockerbie engineering team as a M&E Project Leader and support the site by delivering and contributing towards CAPEX Project Delivery.

Arla Foods are the world’s 4th largest dairy producer and one of the UKs largest FMCG businesses. Our Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery has also recently secured a £39 million CAPEX investment. This investment will enable the replacement of cheese manufacturing equipment, using the latest technology to insert new VATS in a carbon efficient way. Lockerbie will also be housing a new facilities building, focussing on functionality, colleague welfare and visitor experience. This will house a gym, working lab, canteen and kitchen plus meeting, briefing and wellbeing rooms.

**What will the role look like?**

Reporting into the Senior Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will identify and handle improvements within site by contributing to the execution of CAPEX process and projects. You will be responsible for executing overall project management in a safe and efficient way, playing a role as a specialist for technical projects according to project plans/specifications.

**Key role responsibilities include;**
- Project Leader, within non-capex equipment modifications and CAPEX projects.
- Support safety and good working environment at site by involving safety organization before execution of project -with the goal of zero accidents and incidents, ensure QEHS is continually reviewed, with relevant reporting/ communication mechanisms in place throughout the duration of the project
- Ensure anchoring of Arla sustainability goals in CAPEX projects.
- Responsible for proper planning and delivery of project objectives/tasks to time, cost, quality and risk criteria.
- Responsible for continuous business anchoring of the project through close dialogue with the projects’ sponsor and key stakeholders
- Responsible for compliance with the Arla Foods project and CAPEX process, including utilization of the tools and systems used to report and document changes and results throughout the project.
- Responsible for compliance with legislation and for ensuring that important knowledge/results from the project and optimizations are documented and protected.
- Responsible for efficient project completion and implementation. This also includes suggesting changes in the project organization if needed.
- Manages, leads and develops project team members during CAPEX project.

**Background/Experience**
- Proven experience within technical or project management position after completed engineering training. This would ideally be leading CAPEX delivery or work packages within sizeable project.
